About Kev Carlton
Kev Carlton is a Royal Navy veteran who lives with Complex PTSD, Anxiety and Depression following his service. My journey from crisis to recovery has been profoundly shaped by Mission Motorsport, an Armed Forces charity that uses racing, retraining and recovery to support wounded servicemen and women.
Mission Motorsport saved My life and that is why My race team is called, “Suicide to Success”.
I have now built his own race car, a Mini Cooper S (R53)to enter the prestigious Race of Remembrance 2026 at Trac Môn in Anglesey as an independent race team. I am raising funds to build the car and put at least one Mission Motorsport beneficiary in the driving seat.
I am also assembling a crew made up of veteran volunteers most wounded in service to support the car over the race weekend.
I will be the Crew Chief and joining him will be Colin Vernon as the Team Manager. Kev and Colin ran a team that entered a Toyota GT86 at Race of Remembrance in 2025, a car that successfully completed that event, crossing the finish line after 12 hours of racing. They are looking to repeat that success, but this time as an independent team.
